I’m trying to think of a way to reward myself if I meet all of my weekly marathon training goals. My first thought was COOKIES! But then I remembered seeing something like this on pinterest.
If there is a spiral for sugar addiction then I am in a downward one…I have increased my mileage this month and somehow gained 4 pounds in two weeks…needless to say I am putting the cupcakes and ice cream down! MIght try paleo for a week…pondering.
paleo is kinda brutal, I’m not going to lie… but the results are SO WORTH it – try it for a week, be super strict… you’re a runner, you can do anything for one week
HAHA! I am definitely like this! I have a pretty bad sweet tooth, so I constantly feel an addiction to have at least one sweet treat. And I tell myself it’s fine since I exercise . You gotta splurge every once in awhile!
Wow! I feel so at home here. Hi, my name is Beth, and I’m a sugar addict.
Seriously, making the switch to non-food rewards is tough, but fun. Massages, new workout gear, kitchen gadgets, day trips. And sometimes, the food reward works. It just takes a different form: upgrading to sushi-grade tuna, scallops, duck, some paleo-friendly thing that’s slightly outside the everyday budget. It also helps keep your 60-day challenge menu from getting boring.

It’s so hard – I’m caught in the sugar addiction spiral, I think.

What about a massage or a facial as a reward? Non-fat and very delicious for the mind and body.

Good luck!
Love this. I’m going to repeat this to myself over and over
