There are a whopping 850 photos on Instagram tagged with #PhotoARun which is insane, considering I only started this blog a couple of months ago and I didn’t know how to use wordpress or instagram! If you’re new and want to play, here’s how:
This week, my coach Haelyn told me it’s time to get this thing to the next level, and remind people what I started this blog for.
I run past five homeless people on my morning jog here in LA, and for me, not doing anything to help these people is no longer an option. I started Run To Inspire to try and make a difference.
With this project I want runners from all over the world to be able to capture their runs, share them with other runners and, at the same time make a difference to the world, and that’s what the #PhotoARun Challenge has been about. I want to make the very best photo’s available to purchase and with every sale, make a donation to a local homeless charity.
I’m taking baby steps with this part of the challenge, because I’m still getting my head around the legal implications and how massive the whole thing is, but Haelyn suggested, if I can just declare one person the ‘winner’, and get that one person to let me sell their image on their behalf, it might make it more manageable. So smart – she’s a coach for a reason y’all. But choosing one photo was ridiculously hard, so here are my ten most favorites!
The ‘winner’ will be contacted via Instagram to see if I’m able to sell their photo. If you let me, I’ll send you a gorgeous canvas print of your shot as a token of my gratitude for playing, and make the shot available to purchase for everyone and anyone, (probably on a third party site) with all proceeds going to the Greater West Hollywood Food Coalition.
Without further ado, here’s my top ten – the voting takes place further down and closes in one week- PLEASE VOTE. Otherwise this will be a disaster!
