Holy Cow- I absolutely LOVE Vancouver- it is beautiful. Years ago, I remember coming with my parents, and having my first Starbucks – (you always remember your first Starbucks, huh?) and distinctly remembering through the cloud of hormones that were coursing through my teenage body, that I would very much like to return to Vancouver some day. Of course, I was there with work (see below), so my time was limited, but I managed to squeeze a quick jog or two in, and I’m so glad I did.
I found this incredible loop that took me along the water front and up round through the park before cutting through the city.
I think what makes a perfect city, is the combination or water, mountains and sun – and at least when I was there Vancouver had all of the above:

The Vancouver folk Festival, aside from having some serious sausage, was also right on the water, although I was a little bit concerned during soundcheck with all the blankets that were already out at 10am…
… the crowd had warmed up by the time we came back and from stage, we had the best view of the setting sun. Vancouver has it all – a Starbucks , mountains, water, great people and terrific running routes. I’ll be back.
